Our successes

Companies stemming from research done by our laboratories

A lot of our laboratories’ expertise, knowledge, and skills can be developed and transferred to the socio-economic world. One option is to set up a company based on research conducted by one of our laboratories. This can be done in two ways:
  • directly set up a company (Art. 531-1 known as “statut ex 25-1”), or
  • contribute to the capital and activity of a company (Art. 531-8 known as “statut ex 25-2”).

Here we highlight some of the start-ups that resulted from the research conducted by our laboratories:

Instar Robotics

Instar Robotics is a start-up specialising in autonomous mobile robotics for logistics and agriculture. It seeks to reduce difficult work and increase performance by transferring the most arduous tasks to robots, thereby allowing humans to concentrate on the core of their jobs.
The work of Instar Robotics stems from the ETIS laboratory (CYU / ENSEA / CNRS).

Augmented Endoscopy

Created in July 2019, Augmented Endoscopy is a start-up incubated at SATT Erganeo. It is the product of a desire to develop the research activities of the ETIS laboratory (CNRS / ENSEA / UCP) and the Saint-Antoine Hospital (Sorbonne University, APHP) around finding artificial intelligence and innovative solutions for gastroenterologists.

Sequencia

The Sequencia project, led by the ETIS laboratory (CYU / ENSEA / CNRS), has been developing a solution for the multimodal (text, image, sound, and animation) analysis, sequencing, and indexing of streaming or local videos of any type in order to provide a multi-criteria search engine for subsequences, which is controlled remotely (pause, fast forward/rewind, summary, flick through, playlist, DVD-type chaptering).

DreamPore is a French biotechnology start-up which aims to industrially develop an innovative technology for analysing individual molecules (peptides and proteins) using nanometric sensors (nanopores). DreamPore’s main ambition is to sequence peptides and proteins using nanopores. In the shorter term, DreamPore also wishes to develop this technology for in vitro diagnostic medical devices.

The research stems from the LAMBE laboratory (CYU / EVRY / CNRS) and the APHP (Lariboisière Hospital).

RiskDesign offers solutions and tools for measuring risk and loss tolerance, as well as tools for optimising investment strategies tailored to investors’ products. It applies and develops methods designed primarily in the academic world. The products developed by RiskDesign, which are the result of many years of research, feature advanced techniques and innovations used in the fields of economics (behavioural finance and decision-making model), econometrics (individual decision analysis), psychometrics (risk communication and education), and computer science.
These solutions partly stem from the work conducted by the THEMA laboratory (CNRS / CYU).
